The Distinguished Talent Stream

The application process for the GTI scheme

When applying for the Global Independent Program involves the following things.

  • You need to file an Expression of Interest (EOI) with Australia’s DHA. Your EOI must contain a CV, covering letter, and proof supporting your skills.
  • After assessing the referral, you will obtain a Unique ID number and a code from the DHA if you are nominated.
  • You can then apply for an Australian Visa under this program.

Global Talent Employer-sponsored Visa

It is also known as the Subclass 482 Visa. The Global Talent Employer-sponsored Visa allows Australian employers to sponsor overseas employees for highly professional designations that Australian workers or other usual visa pathways, specifically the Medium-term or Short-term stream under the program, can’t fill. You can apply for the Global Talent Employer-sponsored Visa by meeting any of the following conditions.

  • You are internationally and highly skilled in your sector. 
  • The Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) program does not cover you.

The GTI processing time
